Sometimes it is difficult to keep singing when trying to comfort the family of a friend that was lost to us.
Do you ever choke up with emotion when trying to sing a hymn?
I love singing, and try to help congregational singing with volume that fills the room. My friend Tom encourages me, and I feel that his encouragement is an act of grace.
Singing the National Anthem for a large group is a wonderful opportunity. But for me, singing hymns at someone’s funeral is a much greater thing.
We are told that we sometimes entertain angels unawares. I wonder if perhaps sometimes we “entertain” them within our own selves.
Music is such a vital part of life, and even if we cannot sing well it lifts us up in our worship of God.
Sometimes we have a song running around in our heads that we cannot get rid of – if we could only keep the eternal loop running with our worship songs!
When we put our whole heart into worshipful singing, it is exhilarating – and God loves it!
Our feelings are strongly connected to the depth of our breathing.
Sometimes the most beautiful music is not due to getting the notes and rhythm right. It’s what comes from a life of living from the heart. The_Delightful_Duet
